CloudFlare is a DNS host that allows domain holders to manage DNS settings. Out of all the free DNS providers, CloudFlare has a reputation to be the fastest privacy-first consumer DNS service when serving DNS queries through a large network of load balancing data centers.
To add DKIM to your domain name with DNS managed through the Cloudflare internet service you will need to login to your account at CloudFlare and also make sure you have logged into Thexyz Email Admin area and enable DKIM to generate your sender authentication keys.
- Login to your Cloudflare account and select DNS from the menu.
- Select TXT record from the drop-down and add the TXT Record Value to the TXT Content box. This will not affect any existing DNS records.
The TXT Record Key should be added to Name as pictured below.
- When you are done, save it and it should look like this below.
Cloudflare has a fast DNS system with one fastest DNS resolvers and it should take around 1 hour to propagate DNS requests. Depending on the TTL setting it could take up to 24 hours to fully propagate on DNS servers globally. There are also settings within Cloudflare to enable DNS over HTTPS and protect your site with DDoS mitigation.
