When you Register a domain name with Thexyz or any domain registrar, the Whois of your domain name lists your personal information (this information includes Email Address, Name, Company Name, Address, and Phone Numbers) as Contact Details for that domain name. This information becomes available to anyone who performs a Whois lookup of your domain name in the Whois database. The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) requires website owners to provide correct and up-to-date personal contact information when registering a domain name with domain registrars.
Your personal information is, therefore, at risk of being manipulated by data miners, who can then target you via junk email, prank telephone calls, web hosting deals, postal messages, fax messages, domain hijacking, identity theft, etc. New domain owners are often small business owners and targeted with an abundance of web development and SEO spam.
Protect your personal information with private registration domain ownership
Using Thexyz's Privacy Protection service, you may immediately put a stop to such abuse and further protect your personal details. When you enable this service for your domain name, we replace your domain registrant Contact Details in the Whois information with our generic contact details, thus, masking your personal contact details and keeping your personal information private. Identity protection can be added when you first buy domains through our system. If you have not yet enabled privacy protection on a domain name that is already registered, you can enable ID protection in the control panel to mask any person's data from the Whois directory.
Please note: This feature is not available to add domain privacy for the following TLDs extensions):
