We are upgrading @thexyz.com mailboxes to our new email platform on March 13th 2026.

During the day, you may temporarily be unable to access email while your mailbox is being migrated. This is normal.

As migration progresses, you will begin to see a new email service appear in your Client Area under Services.

Once this new service appears, you will need to reset your mailbox password to access the new platform.

After resetting your password, you can login at:
https://mail.thexyz.com

Please allow up to 24 hours after first login for all folders and messages to fully appear.

Important:
Do NOT reset your password on Classic Webmail (webmail.thexyz.com) during migration, as this may cause synchronization issues.

Both the Classic Email system and the new platform will remain active so you can safely verify your data and export Notes, Contacts, or Calendar items before cancelling the old service.

Thexyz Classic Email Is Not Going Away

To be clear:

  • Thexyz Webmail is not being discontinued

  • It will continue to be maintained and supported

  • Going forward, it will be referred to as Thexyz Classic Email

However, as the cost and complexity of maintaining older infrastructure continues to rise, we’ve introduced a modern email platform designed for today’s needs.

What’s New in the Enhanced Thexyz Email

The new Thexyz Email service includes:

  • Larger mailbox sizes

  • App passwords for improved security

  • CalDAV support for calendars

  • CardDAV support for contacts

  • Improved Webmail experience

  • Modern calendar and scheduling tools

  • Seamless integration with desktop and mobile apps

This is the same privacy-first email you expect from Thexyz, just more powerful.

Getting Started: What to Expect

1. Verify Your Domain

After ordering, log in to the Client Area, click Services, and open your active Custom Domain Email Hosting service.

You’ll be prompted to verify your domain ownership by adding a DNS record:

2. Create Your Mailbox

Once DNS is validated, you can create your mailbox directly from the Client Area:

Migrating from Thexyz Classic Email (Custom Domain)

If you currently use Thexyz Classic Email with your own domain and would like to upgrade:

  1. Order the new Thexyz Email service

  2. Create your mailbox(es)

  3. Open a support ticket requesting a migration

  • Migration is free
  • No email downtime
  • No loss of data or access during the process

Migrating @thexyz.com Mailboxes

Customers using an @thexyz.com email address will be contacted directly with:

  • Their scheduled migration date

  • Instructions for accessing the new service

  • Guidance on logging in and updating devices

No action is required until you hear from us.

How do I know my mailbox has been migrated?

You will see a new email service listed in your Client Area.
At that point, reset your mailbox password and login to the new webmail: https://mail.thexyz.com

Are the new email plans more expensive?

No, they are actually available at a lower cost that the Classic plans. 

Can you handle DNS changes and configuration of my domain name?

Yes, if your domain is registered via Thexyz or you are using our DNS Hosting. If not consider a domain transfer to make use of our free DNS hosting or purchase a DNS hosting plan.
