All credit requests for VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discovery payments are processed within 48 hours of the submission of the refund request (by e-mail or ticket, as mentioned above). The funds will be credited back to the Customer's credit/debit card and affect the Customer's credit/debit card balance in accordance with the credit/debit card issuer's terms of service.
Chargebacks are strictly not accepted as a method for refunds. Customers who initiate a credit card chargeback in reaction to a bill or order will incur chargeback fees and are subject to a thorough investigation.
Upon registering for a hosting account with Thexyz, customers explicitly agree to adhere to the terms outlined in our Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) and the Web Hosting Terms of Service. These documents will be utilized by Thexyz and our authorized payment processors (e.g., PayPal, Stripe, 2CheckOut) as evidence of the customer's agreement, particularly in cases where a customer disputes a charge they initially agreed to.
In the event of a chargeback report, Thexyz's initial response will be to attempt to contact the customer. Concurrently, the customer's account will be temporarily suspended to safeguard our system against fraud and misuse. The suspension remains in effect until the chargeback reasons are fully addressed and a resolution has been reached.
If a chargeback occurs due to a misunderstanding, we will initiate a reverse payment process with our payment processors, and the customer's account will be reinstated.
However, if a chargeback is raised without valid justification, as determined by our evaluation and in accordance with these Web Hosting Terms of Service, we will engage in a dispute process with our payment processors. This process will reference the Web Hosting Terms of Service and the Acceptable Use Policy as evidence of the customer's consent to these terms. The payment processors will then assess the legitimacy of the chargeback based on these documents.
Customers found to have initiated a chargeback without a legitimate reason will be responsible for all associated chargeback fees. These fees, along with any additional costs incurred by Thexyz during the dispute resolution process, will be charged to the customer. Should the chargeback be deemed fraudulent, the customer's account will remain permanently suspended and legal action may be taken to recover any losses.
This policy underscores the importance of contacting Thexyz directly to resolve any billing issues or concerns about our services, as initiating a chargeback without just cause violates the terms of service agreed upon at the time of registration.
